The Secret Of Crystal Balls

Crystal Balls have been used throughout history as a means to tell the past, present and future. We often see crystal balls reflected in films as being all seeing and knowing.

Because of its conductive quality, crystal balls were thought to be able to hold the secrets of the future as well as the past. The use of crystal balls throughout history has been known as scrying. There are some people who are versed in the arts who still use these crystal balls in this manner.

The first use of crystal balls to predict the future is thought to have taken place over 2,000 years ago by the Celts. The ancient Druids were among the first to see the power of the crystal balls. They used them not only to tell the future, but to make decisions. Those who practice scrying today are using the same methods used by the ancient Druids in that they see images in the crystal that determine the answers to their questions.

The medieval peoples also used crystal balls to make decisions and for scrying. It is said that Queen Elizabeth I was an avid believer in the use of the crystal ball and consulted those who could read the crystal on many occasions.

Today, those who practice various ancient religions still use the crystal ball as a way to make decisions. It is not unlike using a horoscope or reading tarot cards. In order to understand how to read the crystal ball, you have to be taught by someone who is well experienced in scrying.

You can purchase crystal balls in a number of different outlets. One of them would be through the internet. Depending on the size of the crystal ball and the quality, the price can be as much as $500 or as little as $50.

Many people use crystal balls as accent pieces in their homes. Although they have been used for scrying for centuries, crystal balls also make lovely accent pieces in the home.

When looking for crystal balls, you should look for those that have clarity and are in your price range. The quality of crystal is based upon the amount of lead that is in the glass. Heavily leaded crystal balls will cost more money than those that have little lead. Those that are completely round are also more money than crystal balls that have a flat surface. In addition to buying a crystal ball, you will also need a stand on which to set the crystal ball. These can be made of a variety of different materials. One of the most popular types of stands for crystal balls are those that are made out of pewter. Pewter is a tough metal, looks ornate and is just sturdy enough to hold crystal balls.
